It’s about psychology. Take it from me; an awful artist whose friends used to feed me rubbish constantly after I painted another self-portrait that looked like a sun-dried tomato, the answer is in the initial reaction. It’s the way it’s said.

I used to struggle with paints for hours on end as I tried to etch my massive imagination onto a 20″ x 32″ blank canvas, and then I’d end up three hours later with a regurgitated mess heap on paper. It was funny. How do I come to that conclusion? Because my friends used to walk into my dorm room and fall over themselves laughing and on the brink of tears!
