One of the more frustrating things that you may be dealing with is getting cell phone calls on a regular basis and not knowing who it is that his calling. Not only is this something that is annoying, having your phone call going off constantly but it also is using up your minutes. There’s no doubt that if you are receiving these phone calls the only thing that you would like to have happen is for them to stop.

There may be a couple of other reasons why you are interested in looking up information about telephone numbers. One of these things is if your children are regularly getting telephone calls and you do not recognize where the numbers are coming from. You certainly don’t want to invade their privacy but it is good for you to be up on these things. Being jealous over your significant other is another reason, and at times it is justified.

Most people who look for cellular numbers on the Internet just end up paying a few dollars for somebody to look up the information for them. Although it certainly is one of the most convenient ways to do so, I just take a few minutes in order to see if I’m able to find the information for myself for free. Here are three of the methods that I use to do so.

The first thing that I do is search directly on the search engine, Google. Most people don’t realize that Google has a reverse telephone lookup built directly into their system. You are killing two birds with one stone as not only are you doing a reverse lookup, you are also seeing if the number happens to show up anywhere else on the Internet. This is your best chance of getting the cell phone number so it should be done first.

Another method that I regularly use is to go to one of the volunteer directories that are on the Internet in order to see if the number was left there. Volunteer directories are websites where people can go and leave their personal information, including cellular numbers. There are tens of thousands of people who have done this but the vast majority have not. Even so, it is worth taking a couple minutes to see if you get a hit.

One final free method that I use in order to try to find a telephone number is to check on some of the other reverse directories that are available on the Internet. The unfortunate thing is, the majority of these directories are using the same database as Google so you’re probably going to come up with the same results. It only takes a few minutes to look at these directories and it may be well worth your while if you are able to find the information you need.

If all else fails, you can always use one of the services that looks up the information for you. The cost is only going to be a few dollars and it is one way that you can be guaranteed to have the information back to you accurately within a day or two.
